At the Center for Oncology Research and Treatment (CORT), we will carefully review your medical history, diagnosis, and physiologic status. This comprehensive evaluation allows your CORT physician to tailor our treatment recommendations to your individual condition. We may recommend that you consider participation in one of the numerous clinical trials available at our Center. Once you and your CORT physician have selected a treatment plan, it is very important that you understand all aspects of your current cancer treatment (for example, treatment side effects, schedule of therapy, nutritional maintenance, monitoring of tumor response by various imaging studies such as CT scanning, or PET scanning), as well as future follow up visits after the completion of therapy. The entire CORT team will be involved with these various aspects of your care.

As our name indicates, we are actively involved in a comprehensive array of clinical research studies or trials. CORT’s participation in these trials gives out Oncologists and Staff ready access to innovative, cutting-edge methods of treatment. CORT has research affiliations with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and its Cooperative Groups, like the Southwestern Oncology Group (SWOG). In addition to those affiliations, we conduct nationally-prominent trials sponsored by pharmaceutical firms such as Aventis, Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Genentech, Genta, Novartis, Roche, Sanofi, Wyeth, and many more.
